KNOT 10

With its wild maze of layered, stretched glass, the black Knot is both an intriguing and complex structure which resembles a kind of three-dimensional calligraphy. Each knot is unique and handcrafted in Murano by a master glassblower who spellbindingly winds the stretched glass around and around itself into what appears as an almost weightless ball suspended in the air. 

The glassblower works in the presence the designer with whom he is in constant dialogue. His movements are closely directed by the designer and hence the finished piece is a co-creation of the two. Each Knot is a unique piece and is numbered and signed.
